Gucci Mane - My Own Worst Enemy
In other news Gucci Mane has gone back to prison for 12 Months because of probation violation. Not surprising at all. So here is a leak of his upcoming album The State vs Radric Davis dropping Dec. 8th. Pretty lyrical for Gucci, he speaks on Jeezy & T.I.

This post is unfinished, all it is missing the picture of what we bought on this bong hunt in Chicago.
It is for www.HailMaryJane.com and will be updated when I get that picture.

On a beautiful Chicago Sunday morning for November a couple buddies and Me head to Downtown, Chicago to check out all of the Smoke Shops that the inner city has to offer. Not really expecting much of a difference from the usual Detroit area smoke shops that I am used to, which I was completely wrong with that. Chi-Town smoke shops make Detroit smoke shops look bad I mean very bad. All 5 or 6, I can't remember how many we went to, had something worth buying. Almost all of them were located on N Clark St (between Aldine Ave & Belmont Ave). The area has tones of T-Shirt, Smoke Shops, and Comic Book stores. Even the T-Shirt stores had a small area for bong and pipes. All of them had very customized bowls and bongs. There were very few things that each shop had that another one would have. The usual Zongs, Vortexes, and plastic bongs that every smoke shop has. Other than that each bowl, bong, chilum, or steamroller was custom, even the small smoke shops. From one of the biggest smoke shops in downtown called Secrets to the small one called Amgos and Us, that the owner even asked one of us to go smoke one out back. Now if that isn't a true stoner, than I don't know what is. Asking a complete stranger to go out and smoke one, only a true stoner would do that. That is why Amigos and Us was my favorite on. It had a very laid back environment with the best prices out of all the shops. It also had a rotating bowl display and a lot hats, T-Shirts, and Bob Marley stuff. A stoners dream type of smoke shop. We went to over 5 different smoke shops, even a small magazine shop had a wide variety of custom bongs that the other shops did not have. Everyone was so different but so much alike because of how much of a variety they each had. There is even a For Rent sign in the above picture from Smoke Shop Novelities & Stuff, I don't know about living above a Smoke Shop though. Now I only took pictures at three different places Secrets, Smoke Shop Novelities & Stuff, and The Alley Cloths.
Both of these pictures are from Smoke Shop Novilities & Stuff.
This is the biggest grinder I have ever seen in my life. It had to be over a foot in
diameter.

These Zongs were over 3 feet and were $600 and are straight ridiculous. I would never waste my cash on that, but it is pretty damn cool though.

The next to pieces are from Secrets Smoke Shop where they will beat any ones prices and is %20 off everything over $20 for 2009. Secrets had the most customizedpieces of them all.

The last picture I snapped was at a T-shirt store called The Alley where I was not expecting to see a small area of assorted bongs and pipes. No other shop had this bong of the middle finger, so I had to take a snap.

Now we couldn't go to all of these Smoke Shops without spoiling ourselves by buying 2 bongs, 1 bowl, and 2 chilums. I picked a very small, platic red bong for only $7.98 at a cigar shop, I couldn't pass up that price, I wasn't even planning on buying anything. This is only my third piece and first on I have bought ever since I started smoking green 3 years ago. My buddy picked up a very nice bowl that looks just like a huge spider. It's kinda like a bong with out to. He also copped a: 2 foot, clear, glass, bong outlined in lime green. I recommend all of these Chicago Smoke Shops. It was nice to see another city again that had cheap prices compared to Detroit's.
Here is a forum on a bunch of Smoke Shops in Chicago Area.

On Oct. 31st Soulja Boy will release 3 mixtapes. One of them is Paranormal Activity with DJ Woogie. According to DJ Woogie's Twitter, it will feature the guest apperances from Drake, Gucci Mane, Sean Garret, Kanye West, & J Bar. Here's the official cover for the mixtape. DJ Woogie says it will not be dropping any sooner than Halloween night. So the only good thing out of these 3 horrible and undownloadable mixtapes by Soulja Boy is the guests. Soulja Boys 3 mixtapes can't even compare to Lil Wayne's No Ceilings or
My post for HailMaryJane.com.

So this is what everybody has been waiting for since the summer of 2007 when Young Weezy dropped Da Drought 3[the best mixtape ever]. It has been over 2 years since an official Lil Wayne mixtape has dropped and Weezy did not disappoint us with No Ceilings. I posted two tracks last week, which were two of the best tracks of the tape. Now here is the whole tape and a couple of tracks from the tape. Remember, according to Mack Maine this is not the last of No Ceilings. On Halloween No Ceilings will be re-dropped on the new Young Money website with 2 bonus tracks. Word is there are 8 tracks that did not make the tape. So for all you Weezy Heads [Me include] this is not the last of Lil Wayne. Now sick back and get high to this shit....

"This past September, aspiring recording artist "Lucky a.k.a Mark Milly" released a song every day which came to a total of 30 songs, of course. This is a complete collection of all 30 of those songs brought to you by: Dj Corey Grand [Cleveland], iDopeboy [U.K.], The good folks @ Y.H.G.M & http://www.theincrediblecreation.com/ *enjoy* You won't be disappointed!"
I was lucky enough to get this straight from Milly today, I haven't seen this posted anywhere else or even on Mark Milly's blog for some reseaon.. In September Milly released a new song everyday for 30 days. So now he has had DJ Corey Grand mix into a mixtape. Like my last music post, this is real hip-hop. Not any trap rap, just great lyrical flow from Milly and his many features. Preview and download it now.

When hip-hop producers cross over to other music genres, amazing things happen. Its either some crazy Rebirth shit for Wayne, not that I think it is bad to expirement, but I'm just not feeling that Rebirth shit. Or what I prefer, they find the right sample from an old rock track from back in the day and turn it into a great beat. This has been done countless times, Eminem covering Areo Smith's Dream On had to be one of the biggest ones. Chamillionaire, Lupe Fiasco, Wale, and Cory Gunz all have recently released tracks with some amazing rock samples on the beat. Instantly hearing these tracks, they gave me goosebumps. As I brake them down to show the original track and show you where they came from. Hope to see this way more in hip-hop.
Chamillionaire
When Chamillionaire wanted to say Good Morning to all of his fans he did it with some help from Tom Petty's Free Falling sample. The song is so happy and upbeat, if it doesn't make you smile you have a cold heart. His first single from Venom which is dropping December 8. One of my favorite songs of the year.
Lupe Fiasco

Lupe Fiasco is one of the most creative MCs in hip-hop. His lyrical abilities are just amazing and his U.K indie rock group Japanese Cartoon that he finances and helps with producing. Now he is taking on one of the legends of rock, Jimmi Hendrix. Lupe uses Hendrix's guitar sample from Fire. If you like hip-hop and rock music, you can really appreciate this type of beat. It just goes to show Lupe can spit over anything from a slow beat to a fast paced rock beat. Lupe Fiasco - "Love Always Shines Everytime Remember 2 Smile" or Lasers will hopefully be in stores December 15. The same day as Lil Wayne's 3 albums are dropping. So most likely Lupe's album will be post-poned, but lets hope not.
Lupe Fiasco - Fire
Wale

When I saw the title of this track I instantly knew Wale used a sample from The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony. Bittersweet Symphony is one of my favorite rock songs of all time. There was a blend of Jay-Z - Dirt Off Your Shoulder andThe Verve - Bittersweet Symphony, which was a great blend. This time Wale only uses the violin sample and brings Colin Munroe to sing the chorus. I am not into singers but Colin Munroe does a great job in this song with the chorus. Wale from D.C kills this track and shows that the new age of hip-hop is more about the lyrics not how much money and guns you have.
Wale - Attention: Deficit drops November 10.
Wale Feat. Colin Munroe - Bittersweet Symphony
This video has Spanish subtitles too. ROFL
Cory Gunz

Cory Gunz who was first heard by the mainstream in the original Lil Wayne - A Milli. Way before Wayne replaced him with his own for Tha Carter III and every other MC jumped on the hottest beat of 2008. I still this day think Cory Gunz has the best A Milli verse out of all the remixes, even all of Lil Wayne's six versions. Gunz has been dropping freestyle's and plenty of tracks as of late. None of them really stuck out like this one. With the help from one of the most know rock tracks in the world of sports, Queen - We Will Rock You. Cory Gunz - Big Niose uses a similiar beat to Queens and uses samples Freddie Mercury voice from the chorus of WE Will Rock You. Probaly my least favorite of all of these tracks, but I am still banging this so that shows how much I really hate it.LOL. A great track with both Queen and Cory Gunz on a track , that is a great track right here.
Also I will be doing the Top 100 Hip-Hop Songs of 2009. Probaly will end up to Top 50 because I'm a pothead [LOL]. It will not be like a MTV Hottest MC of 2009 [haha]. It will be real hip-hop and not based on record sales, popularity, or internet buzz. I will also be doing a Top 10 MCs of 2009. Because a lot of albums are dropping right before the new year, so you never what my crazy list might be. But this is for the viewers and if you any suggestions please post in the comments or send them to me at:
Twitter - MaryJaneEmpire
Gmail - youngmoneyceo1@gmail.com

I do not agree with MTVs shitty as fucking Top 10 MC List. The best one was the first one. Since then they have all been very shitty and not accurate. Here is Gucci Gucci at 6, even though Gucci is a good MC he is not 6. He has yet to drop a album since jail. Fuck MTV

Apparently Diddy has lined up some big names to join him on his trans-Atlantic journey, including Drake, T-Pain, Officer Ricky Ross, Lil Wayne and possibly Jay-Z, the Bad Boy top dog revealed to MTV News.
Well damn I was already interested in Diddy's new album because he is a great producer/artists. Though I did have doubts on this album, but not as much anymore.

Indica and Sativa are the two main varieties of the cannabis plant used as medicine or for fun. There are many strains that are crosses of those two varieties. Within each of those varieties and crosses there are a huge number of individual strains, each with a different cannabinoid profile and effect. Whether your looking to get lazy or be up and ready, you will find out what kind of cannabis to smoke at the right times. The Indica strains are a relaxant, effective for anxiety, pain, nausea, appetite stimulation, sleep, muscle spasms and tremors, among other symptoms. The Sativa strains are more of a stimulant, effective in appetite stimulation, relieving depression, migraines, pain and nausea. With that I will get in to it more...
Lets start with my favorite Sativa which produce many popular strains like my personal favorite Northern Lights, Jack Herer, Skunk #1, and Silver Haze. If you are looking for a high that has you awake and energetic, than Sativa is the strain for you. Sativa has a higher THC[Tetrahydrocannabinol] than CBD[Cannabidiol] equals cerebral, soaring type of high, more energetic. Yield is usually lower than Indica, but is very potent. Sativa also gives effective appetite stimulation aka the munchies much more than Indica. For medical use it helps with nausea, migranes, and for some depression. Sativa are tall, thin plants, with much narrower leaves and grow a lighter green in color. They grow very quickly and can reach heights of 20 feet in a single season. They originally come from Colombia, Mexico, Thailand and Southeast Asia. Once flowering has begun, they can take anywhere from 10 to 16 weeks to fully mature. Flavors range from earthy to sweet and fruity.
How I love the taste of sweet and fruity buds.
Here are a couple pictures of Sativa.

Now to the chilled out "Lets just chill and watch a movie Brah". Inidca a strain for the smokers that love to just chill out, sit back and pop a movie in with a shit load of munchies. Some popular strains are AK-47, Afgani, and Blueberry. Indica strains are a relaxant, effective for anxiety, pain, nausea, appetite stimulation, sleep, muscle spasms and tremors, among other symptoms. Indicas originally come from the hash producing countries of the world like Afghanistan, Morocco, and Tibet. They are short dense plants, with broad leaves and often grow a darker green. After flowering starts they will be mature in 6 to 8 weeks. The buds will be thick and dense, with flavors and aromas ranging from pungent skunk to sweet and fruity. The smoke from an Indica is generally a body type stone, relaxing and laid back. Indica's higher CBD than THC equals a much heavier, sleepy type of high. Indica plants have a heavy, stony high that is relaxing and can help different medical problems. I would have to think that many cancer and patients with chronic pain would smoke Indica. Here are a couple of pictures of Indica...

Don't get me wrong I love get blown to the point where I can't get up. But I would much rather be energetic and smoke on Sativa. Sativa is my kind of smoke. Now what kind of strains would we get if we mix Sativa and Indica. You get great strains such as Master Kush, Master kush x Northern light[witch sounds amazing], and New York Diesel.Hmmmm lets take a look....

Complex Mag. has put out a list of the Top 10 Mixtapes of the 2000s. I enjoy these type of lists a lot, but I also hate them because of Who is writting them. Since 2002 mixtapes have really taken off because of the internet. It totally changed the way mixtapes we distributed. Now you pay nothing and just download it on the web. Very few people are buying mixtapes these days. It really is amazing how the mixtape game has changed in the past 5 years.
With 50 Cent and Lil Wayne at spots #1 and #2, while both having 2 mixtapes each on this list. Showing 50 Cent and Lil Wayne have truly ran the 2000's in mixtapes. With my personal all time favorite mixtape Tha Drought 3 finally getting the credit it deserves in this list. It showed that Wayne can get on any track and kill the beat. With his amazing metaphors and impressive lyrics, that to me gave him The Best Rapper Alive status. In the past though 50 seemed to be the running mixtapes. With 50 Cent Is The Future, that raised him from underground to Shady Aftermath. 50 Cent Is The Future took 50 to the next level. Once 50 was signed with Shady Aftermath he dropped No Mercy, No Fear with G-Unit as a celebration mixtape on the signing. Now that is when great music is made, good and fun energy in this mixtape. You can tell they are all having a good time.
Many great artists top this list Young Jeezy, T.I, Clipse, Joe Budden, The Diplomats, and a surprise to me Drake. I don't know what to say about Drake being on this list. This is a list I can agree on. Shouts to Complex for a great list.

Young Scolla is about to drop a album and many mixtapes in the nextcouple monthes. Be ready and don't sleep on this Michigan native.

Damn Bill O'Reilly is really against Amsterdam just as much as he against Jay-Z. Or is it that he really likes both of these things more than anything else in the world. He tries to show that Amsterdam is a Disney World for those people. Now who are those people, Fun, Pot Smoking, and laid back people. Well I am one of THOSE PEOPLE.BILL. Fuck a Bill.
