You're 23 Times More Likely to Crash Your Car If You're Texting
So says the "first study of drivers inside their vehicles," by the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute. Long-haul trucks were lojacked with cameras for 18 months, and the results showed that drivers were 23 times more likely to wreck when they were texting. The results apply to everybody, not just truckers, they say.
